Rugadh is tógadh le Gaoluinn é Cormac i mBaile Átha Cliath, i dteaghlach de cheoltóirí agus amhránaithe.


Tá sé tar éis seinnt ar fud an domhain leis féin agus mar bhall de ghrúpaí éagsúla. Rinne sé taisteal agus taifeadadh le cuid de na ceoltóirí is aitheanta dá bhfuil againn in Éirinn, ina measc seo Clannad, Dervish, The Chieftains, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, Moya Brennan, Hazel O’Connor agus Brian Kennedy.


Ina shaol teilifíse, tá céim sa chumarsáid ag Cormac ó Choláiste na Tríonóide agus thosnaigh sé mar láithreoir ar an sraith ceoil traidisiúnta Flosc ar TG4.


Le Red Shoe Productions, tá idir láithriú agus stiúrú déanta ag Cormac. Chuir sé “Imeall” i láthair don chéad trí shéasúr den sraith. Bhí sé mar chomhairleoir ceoil ar Ghradam Ceoil TG4 ar feadh dhá bhliain agus stiúraigh sé “Oíche Chultúir sa Ghaeltacht 2021” chomh maith leis an sraith deireanach de “Imeall” i 2022.

A native of Dublin, Cormac was raised in an Irish-speaking family of musicians and singers. 


He is a third generation harper, having first studied Irish harp with his grandmother, Róisín Ní Shé, before going on to study concert harp in the United States. 


He has performed across the globe both as a solo artist and with many of Ireland’s most respected and well-known artists including Clannad, Dervish, Altan, Moya Brennan and Brian Kennedy. 


Cormac has made numerous recordings, including two CDs with members of the De Barra family and two under the title Voices & Harps, with Grammy Award-winning singer and the voice of Clannad, Moya Brennan. 


Cormac has also enjoyed a career in televison, having presented the traditional music series Flosc and three years as main host of our flagship arts series, Imeall.
