"Age is a Work of Art" awarded BAI funding
Red Shoe Productions is delighted and honoured to have received BAI funding for our passion project of the last few years "Age is a Work of Art." This landmark bilingual observational documentary reveals what it is like to be old in Ireland in the 21st century and will follow a year in the life of one of the busiest centres in the country catering for our older generation. We couldn’t be happier to showcase the local community and surrounding areas as we film in the Déise Day Care Centre, Dungarvan as well as capturing the gorgeous scenery for viewers all over Ireland and further afield. We are very grateful to TG4 for all their support. Our thanks to the wonderful people at the Day Care Centre and special thanks to Day Centre Manager, Margaret Coffey, for all her help. Thanks to Margaret Organ of Waterford County Council who saw the potential in the project two years ago. We're looking forward to working with some of Ireland's most treasured seniors. We can’t wait to resume filming!
